Rooms Controller

About the role

The Rooms Controller ensures smooth guest arrivals and departures by managing room assignments, key distribution, and billing accuracy at The St. Regis Dubai The Palm. You will act as the primary point of contact for guests' room preferences and coordinate closely with housekeeping and front‑desk teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assign rooms according to guest requests and preferences, and pre‑register designated guests.
• Organise check‑in and pre‑registration procedures for arriving groups.
• Track and accommodate room changes, cancellations, and out‑of‑order rooms.
• Verify rates, adjust billing, and ensure accurate payment processing.
• Activate room keys, perform duplicate reservation checks, and block rooms as needed.
• Run daily reports and follow up with guests to confirm satisfaction.
• Maintain confidentiality, adhere to company policies, and present a professional appearance.
• Collaborate with other departments and serve as a role model for the team.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Less than 1 year of related hospitality experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and lift objects up to 10 lb.
