Route Sales Representative

About the role

The Route Sales Representative will combine safe vehicle operation with direct customer interaction to deliver water and FMCG products across assigned routes. You will be responsible for timely deliveries, sales promotion, cash handling, and gathering market insights while maintaining high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a 3‑ton delivery truck safely, perform daily inspections, and report any mechanical issues.
• Execute daily delivery schedules, load and unload 5‑gallon water bottles and cartons, and collect empty bottles from customers.
• Promote company products, achieve sales targets, handle cash transactions, and maintain accurate sales documentation.
• Lead and supervise an assistant/helper during deliveries to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and customer feedback, and report market trends to the supervisor.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, customer visit reports, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

Required profile

• Valid manual driving license with experience operating a 3‑ton truck.
• Prior experience in water, food, or FMCG distribution.
• Physically fit, able to handle 5‑gallon bottles and cartons; minimum height of 165 cm.
• Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and vehicle maintenance.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and maintain proper documentation.
