RR GL Reporting Lead

About the role

Lead and progressively centralize end‑to‑end Record‑to‑Report (R2R) activities for the Group, ensuring accurate general ledger, disciplined period‑end close, reliable management reporting and strong control over fixed assets, inventories and costing.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Group R2R operating model and its seven workstreams, including GL, closing/reporting, intercompany, consolidation, IFRS/technical accounting, fixed assets and inventory/costing.
• Manage the shared‑services R2R team, allocate close tasks, perform independent reviews and define backups for critical activities.
• Issue common policies, chart‑of‑accounts mapping, templates, reconciliations, checklists and reporting standards across business units.
• Oversee GL governance, journal standards, period controls and balance‑sheet reconciliations for all material accounts.
• Design and execute the Group Close Calendar with a target of consolidated reporting by D+7.
• Coordinate close dependencies with P2P, O2C, payroll, treasury, tax, inventory and other operational teams.
• Maintain intercompany matrices, enforce monthly matching, resolve disputes and prepare elimination schedules.
• Lead entity‑level trial‑balance collection, consolidation modelling, intercompany eliminations and foreign‑currency translation.
• Act as the technical accounting focal point for IFRS standards (15, 9, 16, 10, 2, 16, 21, 36, 37, 24) and prepare policy manuals and position papers.
• Govern the fixed‑asset register, depreciation policies, asset transfers, disposals and CAPEX compliance.
• Establish inventory and costing policies for automotive trading, dealership stock, spare parts and workshop operations.
