SAF Officer – Africa & Middle East

About the role

Airbus Africa and Middle East FZE is looking for a SAF Officer for Africa and the Middle East, based in Dubai. The post is a GC position hosted by the regional organisation, with dual reporting: functionally to the GC organisation in Toulouse (part of the CSO, responsible for Airbus' SAF catalyst strategy) and operationally to the Head of Business Growth in the region. The role involves frequent regional and international travel.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the definition, update and execution of the 5-year SAF Regional Roadmap, which sets the level of engagement with regional stakeholders (producers, airlines, regulators)
• Establish the associated one-year detailed action plan and manage stakeholder engagement internally and externally
• Drive the action plan autonomously, track milestones and escalate blockers, and monitor progress
• Prepare quarterly progress reports with identified blockers and keep relevant colleagues, including External Affairs, informed
• Monitor agreements such as MoUs, JSAs or IC&O commitments and escalate issues as needed
• Manage the regional budget and keep the roadmap and action plan up to date

Required profile

• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to build trustful, long-term relationships
• Strong sense of ownership, proactive milestone-driven management and assertive diplomacy
• Comfortable in the dual GC-Region set-up and compliant with Airbus and local management policies, including the Airbus Code of Conduct
• Fluent English; Arabic is welcome
