Safety / EHS Engineer – Substation – UAE

About the role
We are hiring experienced Safety / EHS Engineers for Substation projects in the UAE. Candidates must have a strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations in the construction and electrical infrastructure industry.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct HSE inductions and awareness sessions for all site personnel.
- Develop, implement, and monitor HSE and welfare plans.
- Perform routine site inspections and lead incident investigations.
- Ensure compliance with Permit to Work (PTW), Work Method Statements (WMS), and risk assessments.
- Promote a safety‑first culture and ensure all works are carried out in line with company HSE policies.
- Provide reports and documentation related to safety performance and site compliance.
Required profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil / Electrical / Mechanical).
- NEBOSH certification – mandatory.
- 5 to 10 years of proven experience in EHS roles.
- Experience in Substation projects (above 220 kV).
- Valid passport with a minimum of 9 months validity.
- Good communication skills in English (spoken and written).
