Safety Manager – UAE Airport Operations

About the role

The Safety Manager for dnata UAE Airport Operations will lead the development and execution of a continuous‑improvement safety strategy, ensuring risks are reduced to ALARP levels through the dnata Safety Management System (dSMS). The role combines strategic leadership, risk mitigation and a strong focus on safety culture across all airport‑related activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and drive continuous improvement strategy for the dnata Safety Management System (dSMS) across UAE airport operations.
• Provide safety leadership and guidance, establishing proactive risk management measures to minimise exposure for employees, contractors and customers.
• Lead investigation of significant occurrences, analyse root causes and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Maintain risk registers, monitor compliance with aviation and occupational health & safety regulations, and report safety performance to governance bodies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years experience in aviation or heavy‑industry safety, including 5+ years in operational health and safety roles.
• Professional safety qualification such as IOSH, NEBOSH, CSP, CRSP or IATA Advanced Safety Certificate.
• Proven track record of accident/incident investigation and root‑cause analysis.
• Strong communication, relationship‑building and leadership abilities.
