Safety Officer

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Safety Officer to join its Abu Dhabi team. The role involves supporting the Safety Manager and contractors in implementing corporate HSE policies and ensuring compliance with local legislation. You will play a key part in promoting a safe work environment across infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Implement Parsons HSE policy, monitor performance, and suggest improvement measures.
• Review hazard analysis, risk assessments and ensure effective control measures on site.
• Monitor contractors’ safety practices, conduct HSE visits and report findings to the Resident Engineer.
• Conduct monthly safety meetings, prepare minutes and follow up on outstanding issues.
• Review emergency preparedness, permit‑to‑work systems, toolbox talks and incident investigation reports.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 + years experience in health and safety on infrastructure projects.
• Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHAD‑Qudorat/ADOSH SF, First Aid or Fire Safety.
• Ability to attend in‑person interviews in the UAE.

Required skills

• NEBOSH certification.
• First Aid and Fire Safety training.
