Safety Officer – Water & Sewerage Projects

About the role

The Safety Officer will manage day‑to‑day health and safety operations on water and sewerage construction projects in Dubai. The role provides technical support to ensure compliance with safety standards and contributes to risk management across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily health and safety inspections and provide technical support to the project team.
• Prepare and manage traffic diversion schemes for work zones and ensure compliance with DM and RTA manuals.
• Maintain safety records, generate activity reports and support risk assessment and risk management processes.
• Supervise safety aspects of recycled water, sewage and pumping‑station construction activities.

Required profile

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or Safety from a recognized institute.
• Minimum two years (24 months) experience in safety for network or construction projects.
• Valid UAE driving licence and ability to pass the Road Safety interview.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Required skills

• OSHA H2S awareness certification.
• Basic Fire Fighting training.
• Preventive Medicine knowledge.
• Risk Assessment and Risk Management expertise.
• Traffic diversion planning and management.
• Knowledge of DM and RTA safety standards.
• Civil engineering construction and emergency procedures.
• Supervision of recycled water and sewage pumping‑station projects.
