About the role

The Sales Assistant – Sports will welcome customers, showcase GMG Group’s sports product portfolio and aim to maximise sales opportunities while delivering exceptional service.

Key responsibilities

• Describe product features and demonstrate usage to customers.
• Educate clients on brand quality standards, specifications and warranties.
• Advise customers on the product range best suited to their needs and answer queries.
• Handle cash, credit payments and generate invoices/receipts accurately.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of new product launches, promotions and sales events.
• Achieve sales targets through up‑selling, cross‑selling and accurate pricing.
• Process returns, repairs and follow after‑sales procedures in line with company policy.
• Support store merchandising, product placement and visual standards.
• Adhere to loss‑prevention, inventory controls and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain high standards of store housekeeping and personal grooming.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to resolve complaints.
• Goal‑driven mindset focused on meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Attention to detail for accurate cash handling and record keeping.
• Willingness to follow store policies, loss‑prevention measures and after‑sales processes.
