Sales Assistant - Sports Retail

About the role

The Sales Assistant will be responsible for presenting products and services to customers, maximizing sales opportunities and delivering exceptional service. Working for GMG, a global well‑being company, you will support the sports retail division and help customers find the right products for their needs.

Key responsibilities

• Describe product features and benefits, demonstrating proper use and handling.
• Educate clients on brand quality standards, specifications and warranties.
• Advise customers on product ranges best suited to their needs and answer queries.
• Process cash, credit payments, generate invoices and receipts, and operate as a cashier.
• Maintain awareness of new product launches, promotions and sales events.
• Achieve sales targets through up‑selling, cross‑selling and accurate pricing.
• Handle complaints, ensure after‑sales processes, and follow loss‑prevention and inventory controls.
• Assist with store merchandising, product placement and housekeeping standards.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant retail or sales experience.
