Sales & Business Development Manager – Rig Services

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Sales & Business Development professional with strong practical knowledge of drilling rigs, rig equipment and upstream operations to build and grow a new Rig Services business segment across the UAE and GCC.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract award and after‑sales support.
• Develop strategic account plans for rig contractors and create a pipeline of projects, shutdowns, maintenance campaigns and upgrades.
• Visit drilling sites, rig bases and workshops to understand operating conditions and service requirements.
• Coordinate with internal technical, service, logistics and commercial teams to deliver compliant and competitive solutions.
• Prepare and manage technical‑commercial proposals, tenders, pricing and negotiations.
• Monitor regional drilling activity, competitor offerings and emerging technologies.
• Provide regular reports on sales activities, forecasts and account actions.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years experience in drilling operations, rig equipment or oilfield services.
• At least 5 years of technical sales or business development serving drilling contractors or rig operators.
• Established relationships with drilling contractors in the UAE and/or GCC.
• Hands‑on, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build a business segment from the ground up.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of drilling rigs and rig equipment (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, instrumentation and control systems).
• Experience in rig equipment maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, refurbishment and upgrades.
• Understanding of rig lifecycle support and reliability engineering.
• Proficiency with MS Office and ERP/CRM systems for proposal and pipeline management.
