Sales Executive (GAC)

About the role

The Sales Executive drives the sale of vehicles and maximises revenue for the dealership. The role involves interacting with customers, understanding their needs and preferences, providing excellent customer service and guiding them through the entire sales process.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with potential customers, explain available vehicles and offer suitable options to generate sales.
• Use persuasive selling techniques to close deals and meet or exceed sales targets.
• Respond quickly to inquiries, address concerns and give accurate information on vehicles, pricing, financing and promotions.
• Build relationships with customers to secure repeat business and referrals.
• Stay up to date with automotive trends and vehicle features, and guide customers through the full sales process.
• Handle paperwork, negotiate pricing, arrange test drives and coordinate with finance and insurance departments.
• Generate leads through referrals, online platforms and community events, follow up on leads and conduct market research on competitors and customer preferences.
• Develop sales strategies, keep accurate records of sales and inventory, and prepare reports on sales performance, market trends and customer feedback.
• Keep improving through training, workshops and self-study, and uphold company values.

Required profile

• 1-3 years of experience in automotive sales.
• Proven experience as a Sales Executive or similar role in the automotive industry.
• Minimum high school diploma.
• Sales certifications or a recognised motor industry qualification preferred.
