Sales Manager - Digital Grids

About the role

As a Sales Manager for digital grid solutions, you will drive growth by building strong relationships with utilities, developers, EPCs, and industrial clients while managing the full sales cycle from opportunity development to order closing. You will contribute to the unit’s order intake and gross profit targets by delivering innovative solutions that meet customer needs in the evolving energy landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new business and nurture long‑term relationships with key decision‑makers across utilities, developers, EPCs and industrial clients.
• Own the full sales cycle for digital grids, from feasibility studies and bidding to contract negotiation and order closing.
• Define and execute winning strategies, including project setup, target pricing, and Bid/No‑Bid decisions.
• Analyse market, competitors and customer trends, keeping Salesforce and internal tools accurately updated.
• Drive commercial results by contributing to order intake and gross profit targets and communicating market demands.
• Coordinate technical clarifications, win/loss analyses and ensure compliance with QA, statutory, regulatory, EHS and Siemens Business Conduct guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Energy Technology or a related technical field.
• Proven sales and business development experience in power systems, grid automation or digital grid technologies with a record of over‑achieving targets.
• Deep familiarity with grid technologies and the Middle East market, including customers, decision‑making processes and competitive dynamics.
• Strong commercial acumen and contract negotiation skills for high‑stakes tendering situations.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of HV equipment and systems – GIS/AIS, transformers, substations, automation, control & protection.
• Experience with integration of automation and digitalisation systems.
• Proficiency in Salesforce and internal market intelligence tools.
