Sales Manager – Toys (Modern Trade)

About the role

A recruitment consultancy is hiring a Sales Manager for a leading trading company based in Dubai, UAE, which distributes consumer products with a focus on toys. The company works with major modern trade accounts such as hypermarkets, supermarkets and large-format retailers, offering a wide range of toy products across the UAE market.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong commercial relationships with major modern trade accounts.
• Negotiate trading terms, annual joint business plans, promotions and shelf space agreements.
• Hold regular business reviews with buyers and category managers to monitor performance and find growth opportunities.
• Develop and execute the Modern Trade sales plan to hit volume, revenue and profitability targets.
• Drive distribution growth and ensure the full toy portfolio is listed and well represented across all accounts.
• Monitor sell-in and sell-out data, manage stock rotation and minimise returns and ageing inventory.
• Manage trade spend and promotional budgets for a strong ROI, and run in-store promotions, seasonal campaigns (Ramadan, back-to-school, festive) and new product launches with the marketing team.
• Monitor competitors' activities, pricing and new launches in the UAE toy market.
• Work with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfilment and stock availability.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum 4-7 years of sales or key account management experience in Modern Trade, specifically in toy distribution in the UAE.
• Proven track record of managing hypermarkets, supermarkets or large-format toy retailers.
