Science Cover Teacher – Immediate Start

About the role

Sunmarke School is seeking a qualified Science Cover Teacher to join its faculty on an immediate start. The successful candidate will deliver the science curriculum across primary and secondary levels, ensuring continuity of learning while the school secures a permanent appointment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging science lessons in line with the National Curriculum of England, IGCSE and IB frameworks.
• Maintain classroom discipline and foster a positive learning environment.
• Assess student progress, provide feedback and record grades accurately.
• Collaborate with department heads and support staff to align resources and laboratory safety.
• Participate in school-wide events, extracurricular science clubs and sustainability projects.

Required profile

• Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed., PGCE) and valid teaching licence for the UAE.
• Experience teaching science subjects at primary or secondary level.
• Strong communication skills and ability to adapt quickly to a new school environment.
• Commitment to the school’s Positive Education ethos.

• Classroom management and student assessment techniques.
