Science Cover Teacher Immediate Start

About the role

Sunmarke School is seeking an experienced Science Cover Teacher to start immediately on a full‑time basis. The successful candidate will provide continuity of learning for students across the science curriculum while the regular teacher is unavailable.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging science lessons in accordance with the National Curriculum of England, GCSE/IGCSE, and IB frameworks.
• Maintain a safe and well‑managed classroom environment, including laboratory safety procedures.
• Assess and record student progress, providing timely feedback.
• Collaborate with senior staff and fellow teachers to ensure curriculum alignment.
• Participate in school-wide initiatives such as STEAM projects and sustainability programmes.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with a degree in a science discipline.
• Valid teaching certification recognised in the UAE.
• Proven experience teaching secondary‑level science subjects.
• Ability to adapt quickly to cover short‑term teaching assignments.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
