Secondary Inclusion/SEND Teacher (Start August)

About the role

GEMS Education is looking for an experienced and passionate Secondary SEND Teacher to join the Inclusion Department at GEMS Metropole Motor City in August 2026. You will work in a forward‑thinking, sustainability‑focused campus, supporting secondary‑age students with additional learning needs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and adapt curriculum for students with SEND in line with inclusive best practices.
• Collaborate with subject teachers, support staff and parents to develop individual learning plans.
• Monitor progress, assess outcomes and adjust strategies to ensure student success.
• Contribute to the school’s inclusive culture through training, mentorship and participation in CPD activities.

Required profile

• B.Ed or a subject‑relevant bachelor’s degree with PGCE/PGDE or equivalent.
• Relevant SEND/Inclusion qualifications.
• Proven experience teaching secondary students with additional learning needs.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and safeguarding responsibilities.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of inclusive practices and effective support strategies.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Strong IT and communication skills for engaging with students and parents.
