Section Head – Plastic Surgery

About the role

The Section Head of Plastic Surgery will lead the Plastic Surgery Division at the Integrated Surgical Institute of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. This senior physician role combines clinical excellence with strategic, operational, fiscal and human‑resource management to integrate plastic surgery services into the institution’s overall strategic plan.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, treatment planning, medication prescribing and surgical procedures within the Plastic Surgery specialty.
• Develop and implement the division’s strategic plan aligned with Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s goals.
• Define the scope of patient care, education and research activities for the division.
• Oversee staffing, space, equipment, technology and resource allocation, ensuring cost‑effective practice.
• Lead recruitment, orientation and training of clinical and non‑clinical staff.
• Collaborate with nursing, administration and medical staff to establish patient‑care policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Promote employee retention and monitor external service providers related to the specialty.

Required profile

• Board‑certified plastic surgeon with extensive clinical experience.
• Proven leadership experience in a medical or academic setting.
• Strong understanding of fiscal management, strategic planning and operational oversight.
• Excellent communication and liaison skills with multidisciplinary teams.
