Security Officer – Hotel Safety & Compliance

About the role

We are looking for a Security Officer to lead safety initiatives at our hotel in Ras Al‑Khaimah. The role involves developing, implementing and maintaining safety policies, ensuring compliance with local, national and international regulations, and safeguarding guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain safety policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments and audits to identify hazards.
• Lead safety training sessions for all employees and promote a culture of safety.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near‑misses, preparing detailed reports with corrective actions.
• Collaborate with management to design and execute safety improvement plans.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, training, inspections and corrective actions.
• Ensure availability and proper use of personal protective equipment and safety gear.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all safety‑related matters, providing guidance to staff.
• Monitor pool and surrounding areas to uphold health and safety standards.
• Participate in daily operational briefings and stay prepared for emergency situations.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a Safety Officer or HSE role, preferably in luxury hospitality.
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety or a related field (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and risk‑management regulations and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills in English and ability to train employees at all levels.
• High attention to detail, proactive problem‑solving and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Required skills
