Senior Accountant – Accounts Payable

About the role

The Senior Accountant – Accounts Payable will manage the end‑to‑end AP process, ensuring accurate, compliant and timely payments. The role involves working with Oracle NetSuite, transactional accounting systems and handling commission processing and escrow audits.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle Accounts Payable operations including invoice verification, coding, approvals and payments.
• Oversee vendor account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Ensure AP processes comply with company policies, SOX/internal controls and regulatory standards.
• Prepare monthly AP aging reports and payment forecasts.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to record transactions accurately in Oracle NetSuite.
• Support month‑end closing activities, journal entries, accruals and reconciliations.
• Process employee expense claims and vendor advances in line with policy.
• Maintain vendor master data integrity together with procurement and operations teams.
• Handle commission processing in TAS, including data validation, calculation and integration with payroll or GL.
• Participate in escrow account audits, tracking receipts, releases and reconciliations.
• Identify and implement process optimisation opportunities in AP and related financial areas.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; ACCA UK or CA qualification.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior AP or general‑ledger role.
• Proven ability to process and reconcile commissions and manage audit‑compliant escrow accounts.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and time‑management abilities.
• Detail‑oriented and capable of handling confidential information.
