Senior Accountant and Junior Accountant – Abu Dhabi

About the role

A client in Abu Dhabi is hiring for two urgent finance positions: a Senior Accountant to lead month‑end closes and financial reporting, and a Junior Accountant to handle daily bookkeeping and ledger maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Senior Accountant: Direct month‑end and year‑end closes, maintain the general ledger, reconcile balance‑sheet accounts, prepare financial statements, budget variance analysis, and tax filings.
• Senior Accountant: Monitor internal controls, support external auditors, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Junior Accountant: Process daily vouchers, accounts payable/receivable, journal entries, bank reconciliations, vendor ledger matching, and petty‑cash tracking.
• Junior Accountant: Archive physical and digital accounting records and assist general finance workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Diploma accepted for senior track).
• Strong spoken and written English; Arabic language preferred.
• Senior track: extensive general‑ledger, audit, and full‑cycle accounting experience.
• Junior track: 2–4 years of operational accounting and ledger experience.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of accounting principles and ledger reconciliation.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, and Zoho Books.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
