Senior Accountant – Construction Finance

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Dubai. The role focuses on managing the general ledger, month‑end close, and providing financial insights to support construction projects, including public‑private partnership arrangements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain overall responsibility for the General Ledger.
• Execute the monthly accounts close on schedule and report results to the Regional Finance Controller.
• Perform all reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Provide timely financial inputs to operations and senior management.
• Participate actively in budget preparation and variance analysis.
• Prepare tax computations and ensure regulatory filings are submitted on time.
• Manage supplier payments and oversee receivable accounting, monitoring, and follow‑up.
• Produce ad‑hoc reports as required.

Required profile

• Up to 5 years of experience in a reputable construction company, preferably with exposure to public‑private partnership arrangements.
• Initial experience in an audit or accountancy firm is advantageous.
• Proven ability to work under high‑pressure reporting deadlines.
• Strong communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, Buildsmart, or SAP.
