Senior Accountant – Dubai (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Dubai team. The role involves managing the full spectrum of accounting activities in a family‑owned business environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain daily accounting records and process all transactions.
• Prepare and run monthly payroll, including salaries, deductions and overtime, and reconcile with attendance data.
• Handle petty cash, supplier payments, accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations.
• Record retail sales, cash collections and produce monthly and annual financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and support audit processes.
• Monitor cash flow, expenses and internal financial controls.
• Liaise with auditors, banks, suppliers, HR and senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of accounting experience, preferably in a family‑owned business.
• Strong knowledge of payroll, overtime calculations, AP/AR, petty cash, bank reconciliation and UAE VAT.
• Experience in retail, trading, FMCG or hospitality is a plus.
• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CMA or CPA are advantageous.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Hands‑on experience with accounting/ERP software.
