Senior Accountant Finance and Reporting

About the role

Al Marwan Group is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to lead finance and reporting activities for its real‑estate development operations in the UAE. The role involves managing month‑end close, preparing financial statements and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports, including profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Maintain the general ledger, journal entries, accruals, provisions, pre‑payments and account reconciliations.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and inter‑company transactions.
• Produce budget‑vs‑actual reports, variance analysis and financial performance dashboards for management.
• Track real‑estate project costs, development expenses, revenues and related financial transactions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow monitoring and financial planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT regulations and internal financial policies.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, preparing schedules and supporting documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting and financial reporting experience, including hands‑on work with a UAE real‑estate developer.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT requirements.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CA, CMA or CPA is an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP or other accounting systems.
