Senior Accountant / Financial Controller (Media Agency)

About the role

My client is a very exciting media agency in the UAE, seeking an outstanding Senior Accountant/Financial Controller to join their growing team. Reporting directly to a Finance Director based in the UK, the successful candidate must have solid experience working in the UAE market and be able to manage the agency's financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day company accounts, ensuring accurate recording and compliance with local regulations.
• Oversee month‑end closing processes, preparing financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Support all tax and VAT matters, coordinating filings and ensuring timely compliance.
• Assist with financial planning activities, providing analysis and forecasts to guide business decisions.
• Oversee budget forecasting and cash‑flow management, monitoring performance against targets.

Required profile

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Possess at least 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within a UAE environment.
• Hold professional qualifications such as CIMA or ACCA, which are highly regarded.
• Demonstrate proficiency with current financial software packages.
• Have prior experience working with a UK‑based agency, which is considered an advantage.
• Exhibit strong knowledge of UAE tax and VAT requirements.
