Senior Accountant

About the role

We are a well‑established Business Setup and Accountancy Advisory firm in the UAE, expanding our finance team. The Senior Accountant will lead day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial records, and support VAT and Corporate Tax compliance while mentoring junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Accounts Manager with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and data entry.
• Record and post daily financial transactions accurately and timely.
• Maintain supplier, customer, and general ledgers.
• Perform regular reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support monthly financial reporting and closing activities.
• Ensure accurate data entry in Zoho Books and maintain organized electronic and physical records.
• Assist with VAT registration, filing, deregistration and Corporate Tax compliance.
• Prepare audit‑ready documentation and respond to internal and external audit queries.
• Supervise and guide junior accounting staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE accounting standards, VAT and Corporate Tax.
• Experience supporting audits and implementing internal controls.
