About the role
We are looking for a Senior Accountant to lead the month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing processes for our Dubai office. The role ensures accurate financial statements, compliance with local tax regulations and supports audit activities.
Key responsibilities
- Post closing journal entries, manage accruals and finalize P&L and balance sheet on schedule.
- Reconcile bank accounts, vendor ledgers, intercompany and balance‑sheet accounts.
- Prepare schedules and working papers for internal and external audits.
- Prepare and file VAT and corporate tax returns on a monthly/quarterly basis.
- Maintain the fixed‑asset register, calculate depreciation and ensure asset accuracy.
- Analyse financial data, identify discrepancies and produce management reports.
Required profile
- 3–8 years of hands‑on experience in account finalisation.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP or Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).
- Proven ability to meet strict closing deadlines.
Required skills
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage or SAP.
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
