Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee key financial operations, including account reconciliations, MIS reporting, tax compliance, and management of accounts receivable and payable. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy in financial records, compliance with statutory regulations, and timely reporting to support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Perform monthly reconciliations of bank, insurance, general ledger, inter‑company and balance‑sheet accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare and present monthly MIS, agent, and cost‑benefit analysis reports, develop dashboards and financial summaries for management.
• Ensure UAE tax compliance by preparing VAT returns, corporate tax filings and coordinating with auditors and tax consultants.
• Oversee accounts receivable: invoicing, collections, aging analysis, credit‑limit monitoring and resolution of billing issues.
• Supervise accounts payable: vendor invoice processing, timely payments, statement reconciliation and adherence to internal controls.
• Support internal and external audits, maintain IFRS compliance, and recommend process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 3–4 years of relevant experience in the Accounts & Finance function within Travel, Insurance or Banking.
• Hands‑on experience with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.
• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, complex formulas, data validation).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Word for professional communication and documentation.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Tally or similar platforms.
