Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a proactive and hands‑on Senior Accountant who will independently manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, complete monthly financial closings, prepare management reports and report directly to the VP Finance. The role requires strong ERP experience and minimal supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year‑end financial closing activities.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure all accounting transactions are accurately recorded.
• Prepare monthly management reports, financial schedules, and analyses for the VP Finance.
• Reconcile bank accounts, customer receivables, supplier payables, inventory, and intercompany balances.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and management accounts.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and providing required documentation.
• Assist with VAT accounting, reconciliations, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Support ad‑hoc finance projects and reporting requirements.

Required profile

• 6–8 years of accounting experience.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, SAP or Oracle.
• Experience in trading or distribution companies is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• Professional qualifications (ACCA, CMA, CPA, CA Inter) are an advantage.
