Senior Accountant – Payable

About the role

Kabri International Co. LLC is seeking a highly organized Senior Accountant – Payable to join its finance team in Dubai. The role focuses on managing the full accounts payable cycle for a construction and contracting environment, ensuring accuracy, compliance with UAE VAT and timely processing of vendor payments.

Key responsibilities

• Process and verify supplier and subcontractor invoices against purchase orders and contract terms.
• Manage vendor payments, reconciliations and supplier statements, promptly resolving any discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate accounts payable records, aging reports and support month‑end closing activities.
• Coordinate with procurement and project teams on invoice approvals, retention amounts and payment schedules.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and internal financial policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5–7 years of UAE/GCC accounts payable experience in the construction or contracting sector.
• Strong organizational, communication and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with internal departments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for reporting and analysis.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT compliance and accounts payable processes.
