Senior Accountant & Tax Specialist

About the role

The Senior Accountant & Tax Specialist will manage full‑cycle accounting activities, prepare and review financial statements, and maintain accurate general ledgers. The role also oversees tax preparation and compliance, provides tax advisory support, and assists with audit preparations for clients in the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle accounting, including preparation and review of financial statements and general ledger maintenance.
• Oversee tax preparation and compliance for corporate and individual clients, ensuring adherence to UAE VAT and corporate tax regulations.
• Perform detailed tax calculations, meet filing deadlines, and respond to tax authority inquiries.
• Provide tax advisory services, identify optimisation opportunities within regulatory frameworks, and support audit processes.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to improve accounting processes and support management with financial analysis and reporting.

Required profile

• Strong accounting skills with experience in preparing and analysing financial statements.
• Hands‑on experience in tax preparation and compliance for corporate and individual clients.
• Solid understanding of UAE tax regulations, including VAT and corporate tax.
• Advanced proficiency with accounting software and Excel, capable of handling large data sets and reconciliations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CMA) are a plus.
• Experience in a senior accounting or tax role, preferably within a consultancy or professional services environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and organizational abilities with strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse clients and internal teams.
