Senior Advisor – Safety, Health & Environment

About the role

AECOM is looking for a highly experienced Senior Advisor to lead Safety, Health and Environment (SH&E) initiatives in Dubai. You will be the central point of expertise, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations while fostering a strong safety culture across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for all SH&E matters, advising management and staff.
• Develop, implement and oversee comprehensive SH&E strategies aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify hazards and improvement opportunities.
• Lead investigations of accidents, injuries and near‑misses, and drive corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed SH&E best practices throughout operations.
• Supervise and mentor junior SH&E staff, supporting their professional growth.
• Stay current on UAE and international SH&E regulations, standards and best practices.
• Design and deliver training programs to raise safety and environmental awareness.
• Prepare and present detailed SH&E reports and recommendations to senior management.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in safety, health and environmental management.
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent certification.
• Strong knowledge of UAE SH&E regulations and international standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to lead investigations and drive continuous improvement.
