Senior Advocate (UAE National)

About the role

MAS LAW, a UAE-based full-service law firm with offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Amman, is hiring a full-time, on-site Senior Advocate in Dubai. The position is open to UAE nationals and requires a minimum of 8 years of relevant legal experience. The Senior Advocate represents clients before UAE courts and arbitral tribunals, prepares and reviews pleadings, legal memoranda and opinions, and manages complex litigation and dispute resolution matters.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on corporate, commercial, banking, construction, employment and regulatory issues.
• Represent clients in court and arbitration, and coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop case strategies.
• Supervise junior lawyers, mentor team members and help build the firm's knowledge base.
• Contribute to business development through client relationship management and participation in pitches and industry events.
• Stay current with UAE laws and regulations.

Required profile

• UAE national with admission or registration to practice law in the UAE.
• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB or equivalent) from a recognised university; an advanced degree is an advantage.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant legal experience.
• Strong proficiency in written and spoken English, with strong communication and negotiation skills.

• Strong knowledge of UAE laws, legal procedures and court practices.
• Proven experience in litigation, legal representation and handling complex matters.
• Excellent legal research, drafting, communication and advocacy skills.
• Ability to advise on commercial, corporate, banking, construction, employment and regulatory issues.
• Ability to lead matters, manage deadlines, supervise junior team members and work independently.
