Senior Analyst - Sanctions Advisory and Investigations

About the role

Join ADCB's Group Compliance & Governance team as a Senior Analyst, providing expert sanctions advisory and leading investigations to ensure regulatory compliance across the bank.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance to business units on sanctions compliance for transactions, products and new initiatives.
• Lead investigations into high‑risk sanctions alerts, customer profiles and transactions, preparing detailed reports for senior management and regulators.
• Monitor and interpret changes in global and local sanctions regulations and ensure timely implementation.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve complex sanctions issues.
• Identify and implement process enhancements and automation opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in compliance, sanctions advisory or financial crime investigations within banking or financial services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Law or a related field.
• Preferred certifications such as ACAMS (Certified Anti‑Money Laundering Specialist) or equivalent.

Required skills

• Advanced understanding of sanctions regulations (OFAC, UN, UAE Central Bank).
• Expertise in investigative techniques and case management.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
