Senior Architect – Transport Infrastructure

About the role

SYSTRA is seeking a highly skilled Senior Architect to lead architectural design for public transport infrastructure projects, including landscape, stations, depots, and buildings.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design process for projects related to Landscape, Station, Depot, and Buildings.
• Develop and present design concepts and proposals to clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, planners, and construction professionals, to ensure cohesive project delivery.
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project completion.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
• Mentor and guide junior architects and design staff, fostering a culture of creativity and continuous improvement.
• Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to incorporate into project designs.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Prepare detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and documentation for construction.
• Engage with clients to understand their vision and requirements, providing expert advice and solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field.
• Professional licensure as an Architect.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in architectural design, focusing on Landscape, Station, Depot, and Buildings.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in relevant projects.
• Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong project management skills with ability to lead multiple projects.
• Knowledge of sustainable design practices and principles.
• Experience on large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with local and international building codes and standards.
• LEED accreditation or equivalent certification.
• Preferably UAE or GCC experience.
