Senior Associate – Environmental

About the role

Ensure proper implementation of environmental management standards, systems, policies and procedures across all construction projects, complying with Environmental Abu Dhabi (EAD) requirements, NOC and ISO 14001 best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Environmental Management System (EMS) and related policies such as waste management, biodiversity and climate strategy.
• Monitor and ensure compliance of all construction projects with Abu Dhabi Environment Agency (EAD) requirements, ISO 14001 standards and obtained NOC permits.
• Coordinate with PMC, consultants and contractors to conduct inspections, audits and environmental performance reporting.
• Lead environmental monitoring, data collection and reporting on terrestrial, water and air quality, and manage waste management and pollution control plans.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental engineering within a large developer or construction firm.
• Degree in environmental or engineering discipline and ISO 14001 lead auditor certification.
• Fluent in English and Arabic with strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of Abu Dhabi and GCC environmental regulations and experience in contractor assessment.
