Senior Associate Government Relations

About the role

The Senior Associate Government Relations will support Aldar Properties in building and maintaining effective relationships with Abu Dhabi government authorities. The role ensures that all necessary permits, licences and approvals for infrastructure, housing and development projects are secured promptly, helping the project management team deliver projects on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Process and track all required development and construction permits through external government agencies.
• Coordinate closely with project teams to align ongoing works with obtained licences and permits.
• Monitor changes in government laws and regulations that may impact project delivery.
• Assist in validating documents for asset hand‑over and maintain the asset hand‑over tracker.
• Lead communication and negotiation with local authorities for asset hand‑over agreements under supervision.
• Report any potential issues that could affect project schedules.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of construction‑related policies and permit application processes.
• Familiarity with infrastructure sub‑disciplines such as roads, wet utilities and dry utilities.
• Ability to work closely with multidisciplinary project teams and government officials.
• Attention to detail in document validation and tracking.
