Senior Associate – Occupational Safety and Health

About the role

The Senior Associate – Occupational Safety and Health will support the implementation and maintenance of Aldar’s OSH Management System across all developments in Abu Dhabi, ensuring compliance with ADOSH regulations and ISO 45001.

Key responsibilities

• Update legal compliance and risk registers, and OSHMS documentation to meet ADOSH and ISO 45001 requirements.
• Review trend analysis of unsafe acts, incidents and determine need for additional controls.
• Approve activity‑specific risk assessments and method statements, and develop safe working procedures.
• Conduct proactive OSH monitoring including site inspections, management walks, audits and prepare related reports.
• Lead compliance audits of contractors, consultants and principal contractors and ensure closure of non‑conformities.
• Produce and maintain OSH documents such as emergency evacuation plans, lifting plans, OSH alerts and sustainability data.
• Track and report OSH performance metrics, incident registers and ensure alignment with legal updates.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of OSH management experience in a large developer or construction environment.
• Experience in GCC real‑estate market and familiarity with local OSH legislation (ADOSH, municipal authorities).
• Proven ability to assess and qualify contractors on OSH requirements.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Required skills

• NEBOSH Level 3 Certificate (or higher) and NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma / NVQ 5.
• ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification.
• ADOSH Grade A or B card (or equivalent OSH practitioner qualification).
• Competence in preparing risk assessments, method statements and OSH documentation.
