Senior Associate – Spend Review

About the role

Act as the day‑to‑day lead for assigned Spend Reviews within the Department of Finance, owning the technical analysis, coordinating stakeholders and driving delivery from data collection through to final recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned Spend Reviews, coordinating across entities, internal teams and advisors.
• Own day‑to‑day delivery, ensuring progress against scope, milestones and timelines.
• Lead planning, sequencing and coordination of analytical workstreams and data requests.
• Manage interactions with entity counterparts to clarify requirements, follow up on data and resolve issues.
• Conduct detailed financial, operational and performance analysis, including budgeting, cost drivers and efficiency assessments.
• Develop robust financial models, perform scenario analysis, sensitivity testing and evaluate savings options.
• Conduct benchmarking and comparative analysis across entities or peer jurisdictions.
• Prepare high‑quality presentations, exhibits and analytical outputs for senior audiences and draft core sections of Spend Review reports.

Required profile

• 3 to 6 years of experience in finance, spend analysis or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as CMA or CFA are preferred.
