Senior Audit Associate – TMT Audits (Dubai)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Audit – Senior Associate specializing in Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) audits to join our team for the FY25 hiring session. The position starts on 1 October 2024, with interviews beginning in June 2024.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, executing, and finalising TMT audit assignments for manager/partner review.
• Produce work for review, address TMT consulting issues and propose solutions.
• Manage client deliverables, including attending meetings.
• Conduct strategic analysis specific to the TMT industry.
• Identify business and audit risks in the TMT sector.
• Assess the effectiveness of client processes and controls within the TMT industry.
• Perform higher‑risk and non‑routine audit functions in the TMT sector.
• Provide day‑to‑day management of junior team members.
• Ensure effective use of KPMG Audit Manual, methodology, auditing standards and relevant industry standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce or equivalent.
• ACCA – minimum of nine papers completed (or CPA two papers, or ICAEW professional stage).
• At least two years of postgraduate experience, recent TMT audit exposure.
• Strong understanding of accounting concepts related to the TMT sector.
• Computer literacy.
• Fluent in English and Arabic (speaking, reading, writing, listening).
• Proactive, independent with strong research and analytical abilities.
• Effective communicator.
