Senior Auditor – Credit Review

About the role

As a Senior Auditor – Credit Review you will play a pivotal role in providing independent assurance on the bank’s credit risk controls. You will work within ADCB’s Group Audit function, leveraging data analytics and advanced audit techniques to enhance risk management, control and governance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead regular audits and special reviews in line with audit standards and bank policies, ensuring objectives are met and risks are identified.
• Prepare and review BACC/BOD/CEO/Management reports, guaranteeing accuracy and compliance with required standards.
• Plan, coordinate and execute audit assignments, including specialised and complex credit reviews.
• Draft and issue audit observations, highlighting risk issues, control lapses and recommending enhancements.
• Develop final audit reports and executive summaries that meet organisational standards.
• Create action plans, conduct follow‑up meetings with auditees and manage issue escalation.
• Monitor the risk register and audit programme, integrating latest technical developments.
• Provide recommendations on policies and procedures to mitigate risk.
• Manage investigations, special assignments and whistle‑blowing cases, ensuring insights are communicated to management.
• Supervise audit team activities, ensuring targets are achieved and business plans delivered.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in internal audit within a banking environment.
• Proven ability to lead audit teams and manage audit assignments end‑to‑end.
• Strong knowledge of audit standards, risk assessment and control evaluation.
