Senior Barista

About the role

Paramount Hotel Dubai is seeking a passionate Senior Barista to lead its coffee service within the F&B team. You will ensure every beverage meets the hotel’s high standards while mentoring junior staff and delivering memorable guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high‑quality coffee, espresso and specialty drinks with consistency and precision.
• Maintain exceptional standards of beverage quality, presentation and taste.
• Coach and mentor junior baristas on coffee preparation, service standards and product knowledge.
• Keep espresso machines, grinders and related equipment clean, functional and well maintained.
• Assist with stock control for coffee, milk, syrups and other beverage supplies.
• Support opening and closing procedures, record keeping and waste‑minimisation initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role within a 5‑star international hotel or luxury hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of coffee, espresso preparation and standard beverage recipes.
• Excellent spoken and written English; multicultural experience is an advantage.
• Organised, efficient and able to perform under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Passionate about coffee, hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.

Required skills

• HACCP knowledge.
• Espresso preparation and coffee preparation.
• Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
• MICROS or similar POS system.
