Senior Billing Specialist

About the role

We are a globally focused organization seeking an experienced Senior Billing Specialist to lead complex billing activities, ensure accurate invoicing, and strengthen our order‑to‑cash process. The role involves end‑to‑end management of customer billing across multiple products, services, and contracts while collaborating with finance, sales, and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end customer billing activities, preparing, reviewing, validating and issuing invoices in line with contractual and commercial requirements.
• Manage various billing models (recurring, milestone‑based, usage‑based, subscription) and ensure billing triggers, rates, taxes and discounts are correctly applied.
• Reconcile billing transactions with contracts, sales orders and the general ledger, and investigate unbilled revenue, gaps, and duplicate invoices.
• Process credit notes, debit notes, adjustments and cancellations, obtaining appropriate approvals for non‑standard changes.
• Support month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close activities, preparing billing reports and analysis for finance management.
• Identify and prevent revenue leakage, perform root‑cause analysis of billing errors and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Revenue Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Collections, Tax, Legal and Technology teams to resolve disputes and ensure compliance.
