Senior Business Development & Licensing Specialist

About the role

Julphar is seeking a Senior Business Development & Licensing Specialist to lead growth initiatives, identify strategic partnerships, and manage licensing deals across the MENA region. The role will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to expand the company’s product portfolio and market presence.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate new business opportunities, including partnerships, alliances, and acquisitions.
• Lead end‑to‑end licensing processes, from initial contact through contract execution and implementation.
• Collaborate with R&D, regulatory, marketing, portfolio management, and legal teams to ensure strategic alignment.
• Maintain relationships with pharmaceutical companies, biotech firms, and academic institutions.
• Prepare periodic reports on BD and licensing activities for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in business development roles and at least 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven track record of closing licensing and partnership deals in the MENA region.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
