Senior Buyer – Procurement Lead

About the role

The Senior Buyer is responsible for sourcing and contracting all direct material within the assigned category, aiming to mitigate commercial risk, optimise cost advantage and ensure supply security. The role leads supplier selection, drives commercial negotiations and creates sustainable purchasing strategies while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to improve profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the supplier selection process, conduct RFQ/bid activities and negotiate contracts to achieve best price, quality and delivery terms.
• Develop and deploy purchasing strategies for material categories, monitoring market trends, cost structures and competition.
• Coordinate implementation of agreements and purchase orders in compliance with internal procedures and export regulations.
• Monitor supplier performance, identify risks, propose mitigation actions and drive continuous cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Maintain vendor master data and ensure suppliers adhere to the company’s Code of Conduct and OHSE policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
• 7–8 years of procurement experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Proven ability to source, contract and manage complex procurement processes.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem‑solving and influencing skills.
