Senior Buyer – Procurement & Supply Chain

About the role

The Senior Buyer is responsible for sourcing and contracting direct material for assigned categories, mitigating commercial risk and ensuring supply security. The role leads supplier selection, negotiates contracts, and develops sustainable purchasing strategies while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead supplier selection, bid/RFQ processes and commercial negotiations for material categories.
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimise cost, quality and delivery.
• Monitor supplier performance, manage risks and propose mitigation actions.
• Prepare and coordinate purchase orders and agreements in compliance with internal procedures and export regulations.
• Drive cost‑reduction initiatives and analyse market trends to support business decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
• 7‑8 years of procurement experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Proven ability to source, contract and manage procurement processes.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem‑solving and influencing skills.

Required skills

• SAP procurement module.
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
