Senior Charge Nurse / Unit Manager – Pediatrics Wing

About the role

The Senior Charge Nurse/Unit Manager for Tower A6’s Pediatrics Wing is responsible for leading the nursing team, ensuring 24/7 high‑quality patient care, and aligning unit operations with the vision, mission and values of SSMC.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, direct, coordinate and evaluate operational, fiscal and personnel activities for the assigned pediatric unit.
• Manage the unit’s total budget and allocate resources to promote safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care.
• Collaborate with dyad and triad partners, senior nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to ensure smooth unit operations.
• Collect and analyze data on unit performance, identify trends, and develop strategies to achieve expected outcomes.
• Provide consultation, education and health‑promotion initiatives to staff and patients.
• Promote shared decision‑making and uphold standards of nursing administration.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with extensive experience in pediatric nursing.
• Demonstrated leadership in nursing administration and staff performance management.
• Strong analytical ability to assess data, identify issues and implement improvement plans.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with medical, operational and executive partners.
