Senior Civil Engineer – Infrastructure (STP Projects)

About the role

The Senior Civil Engineer will lead the supervision, construction and delivery of civil infrastructure works for Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) projects, including stormwater drainage networks, roads and utility corridors. The role requires extensive experience in construction supervision, contractor coordination and quality assurance while ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor construction of stormwater drainage networks, roads and utility infrastructure linked to STP projects.
• Review and approve construction methodologies, shop drawings, material submittals and work programmes.
• Ensure all construction activities follow approved drawings, specifications, schedules and HSE requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, utility authorities and stakeholders to resolve technical and site issues.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor quality‑control procedures to meet project standards.
• Review contractor progress reports, payment applications, variation orders and claims.
• Identify construction risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Support project management in planning, scheduling and resource allocation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; professional engineering certification is an advantage.
• Minimum 15 years post‑graduate experience supervising stormwater drainage, road and utility works for STP projects, preferably in the GCC.
• Proven experience on large‑scale infrastructure, wastewater and utility projects for government or major infrastructure clients.
