Senior Civil Structural Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Design Engineer to lead the design, analysis and delivery of civil and structural works for industrial, infrastructure and district‑cooling projects in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will ensure that all deliverables are safe, cost‑effective and compliant with international codes and client requirements from concept through construction and hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis, design and detailing of reinforced concrete, precast concrete and steel structures for industrial buildings, utility facilities and district‑cooling plants.
• Prepare and review design calculations, drawings and technical specifications in accordance with Dubai Municipality, SBC, IBC, ACI, ASCE, AISC and other relevant standards.
• Design pipe supports, racks, sleepers, platforms, equipment foundations and steel‑to‑steel or steel‑to‑concrete connections, including static and dynamic analysis for rotating equipment.
• Develop civil site‑development designs covering grading, roads, drainage, underground utilities and external works, coordinating with other disciplines.
• Produce and update Design Basis Reports, technical specifications and scope documents, and support construction activities through site inspections and issue resolution.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in civil/structural engineering for EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of international design codes and standards applicable in the UAE.
• Proven ability to lead design teams and coordinate multidisciplinary efforts.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
