Senior CNC Machine Operator

About the role

The Senior CNC Machine Operator will manage all CNC equipment from set‑up through production, ensuring parts and tools meet engineering drawings and client standards. This role requires close monitoring of machinery, quality inspection, and coordination with the CNC team.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines for drilling, grinding, and milling tasks.
• Translate engineering drawings into production dimensions and communicate requirements to the CNC team.
• Monitor machine performance, make adjustments, and oversee test runs.
• Load and unload raw materials, record production and quality data.
• Perform daily maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• Approve and inspect finished products to ensure they meet client expectations.
• Maintain compliance with quality and safety guidelines.
• Report logistical issues and conduct regular machine assessments.

Required profile

• Trade school or high school diploma (or equivalent); engineering certificate or diploma is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a CNC milling or turning operator in aerospace or machining manufacturing.
• Proven ability to interpret mechanical documents and engineering drawings.

Required skills

• CNC milling and turning operation.
• Understanding of GD&T and ability to read engineering drawings.
